I still play the "Mo' Money" soundtrack regularly. Lots of great songs on that record -- The Best Things In Life Are Free, Ice Cream Dreams, Money Can't Buy You Love, My Dear, Let's Get Together (So Groovy Now), Get Off My Back, etc. Hot.

The "Wild Style" soundtrack is a hip hop classic in my opinion. You've got Grandmaster Caz, Double Trouble, Busy B, Fantastic Romantic 5, Funky 4+1, Grandmaster Flash, all those lyrical heavyweights of ole. So serious.

Damn! How could I have forgotten those 2? woot! The Color Purple is one of my favorite films, and the soundtrack is amazing. I listen to that regularly and forgot to list it. I espcially love the 2 gospel tunes on it. Scary that Miss Celie's Blues lost the Oscar for best song from a movie to...Say You Say Me barf

And Sparkle is a great album! Terrible movie, but a great album. One of Aretha's best (I can see why she hijacked the project to make it one of her own).

You should hear the "One In A Million" remix with Genuine and the Tisha Cambell/Tenicia Arnold duet. These two make the soundtrack even better.

Not including Prince soundtracks:

Passion: Soundtrack for "The Last Temptation of Christ" I don't sense a lot of love on the Org for this record. But to me it is a modern-day "Love Supreme."

O Brother, Where Art Thou? The only country record I own.

School Daze

Shaft

Superfly

Jesus Christ Superstar (original Broadway cast)

Pulp Fiction

Platoon

Saturday Night Fever

Juice
The music fit the movie and is a snapshot of early-90's hip-hop & R&B.
Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
