Where is the best source for the Smashing Pumpkins' Machina II?

Just wondering if some sources produce better sounds than others. I finally got Machina II burned to cd and the sound is a little subpar. Is there a site that you can get Machina II on that has great sound? Or are all sources basically the same?

I always shop around. I have cable connection, so that means I can get songs in around 30 seconds.

The sound on just about all of them is sub-par, even the MP3s that were once put up on the Pumpkin's website. The source for all of these was off of vinyl, so the recordings have a muddy quality. In some ways, its kinda cool 'cuz it gives it a "bootleg" type of feel, but I would still love to have these in crystal clear quality.

They were released that way. The best copies you will get are those that were transfered from the limited edition vinyl copies. Even those had crappy sound quality. The official mp3s released on the site were encoded at a low bitrate.

Oh well. I was kind of hoping to get better quality. Still, it's very nice to have them. Stupid record label. Wouldn't a cd release at least have gone gold? Surely Virgin would have made at least a modest profit.

Thanks for the answers everyone.

No problem at all. Along with Prince and David Bowie, Billy Corgan is one of my favorite artists. I have to know each of their best fan sites. ^-^
