So,how many of you saw Earth Wind and Fire in concert in the 70s? Earth Wind & Fire is my favorite band, but unfortunately,I didn't get to see them in concert in the 70s,during their heyday. The first time I saw them in concert was in the mid-90s,a few years after leader Maurice White stopped touring with them.To those of you who were fortunate to see them in their prime,I wanna hear your stories.Did you see them during their successful 1975 'That's the Way Of The World' tour, which is where much of the 'Gratitude' album was recorded? Or the 1976 'Spirit' Tour with The Emotions? Or the much-talked about 1978 tour where they added alot of eye-catching magic tricks and special effects to their shows?

Same here.. Way to young, but i do remember seeing an HBO concert back in the days that was amazing!! I'm sketchy on details, but I remember the stage being an elaborate pyramid, people dissappearing and flying and shit. Oh yeah, and then there was the music. Awesome!

"After The Love Has Gone" (Chicago member Bill Champlin on lead vocals) That's incredible. There was a thread that announced this tour where I mentioned how great it would be if Bill Champlin sang "After The Love Is Gone" with EW&F since he co-wrote the tune. What an amazing setlist and show. Muchos gracias. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I think you're referring to their 1981 New Year's Eve show at the Oakland Coliseum. This show was broadcast on HBO in 1982,and it is now available on video and DVD.
