Your Favorite Beatles songs? They get mentoned fairly often, so I wanted to see which tunes are people's favorites...
My Top 20: I'm Only Sleeping Norwegian Wood Blackbird The Long and Winding Road Golden Slumbers Penny Lane Eleanor Rigby The Fool On The Hill I Want You/ She's So Heavy Yesterday Hey Jude Something Here, There And Everywhere Come Together Revolution Let It Be Michelle Strawberry Fields Forever Because Day In The Life [This message was edited Wed Jul 21 14:03:50 2004 by paligap] " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

You're list-crazy today!
The Long and Winding Road Something She Loves You And I Love Her Yellow Submarine Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds In My Life Day in the Life Paperback Writer Yesterday Because Come Together A Hard Day's Night Eleanor Rigby Hey Jude Let It Be Motown released a compilation several years back of Beatles covers done by Motown artists. Some of it is downright awful (Four Tops covering Michelle), but others are really brilliant. As much as I love the original version of Something, I almost prefer the Martha Reeves & The Vandellas version to it! Good stuff!

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, because it has a double meaning...that's really the only one I can stand to hear THEM sing. I only like the Beatles' songs when someone else remakes them. Yes, it's true. I think their singing voices are atrocious. But, they have good lyrics. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"
