Cool! This doesn't have to be a sitcom theme song!

Well, Don Cornelius should slap me for forgetting this one: MFSB's "TSOP" aka the Soul Train Theme. (O'Bryan's "Soul Train's A' Comin'" wasn't too bad either.)

worship TSOP worship

thumbs up! Honourable mention goes to Billy Preston's version of the American Bandstand theme song. thumbs up!

Now, you've got me thinking about the "Peter Gunn" theme song! biggrin And speaking of Henry Mancini.... "The Pink Pather" theme song. And speaking of cartoons.... "Linus and Lucy" (the Peanuts theme).... Oh, and I like Liz Phair's version of the "Tra La La" song (from the Banana Splits show).

Good grief! I'm all theme songed out.

Barney Miller (cool funk!)
Seinfeld (gotta love that slap synth bass!)
Magnum P.I. (The wah-wah saved that song from un-funkiness!)
Fame (a little more disco-ish, but still funky.)
NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

You know I thought about Law and Order too, but not because of the theme song.... I actually like that "tum-tum" effect they play between scenes. I could use something like that instead of saying "Oh, snap!" or "Good grief!" smile

disbelief Nope not that one evillol
This one was called simply "The Inspector" I think it was a spinoff of The Pink Panther because it featured a similar little short guy with a French accent. It was also grouped with a cartoon called The Ant and the Aardvark.

Oh man, I'm about to get embarrassed. This makes 3 kids shows nobody remembers but me: The Inspector, The Ant and the Aardvark and Gigglesnort Hotel sigh

Yeah that Aardvark definitely looks familiar. Was it part of the Hanna Barbera cartoon family?

I don't remember. But the funniest thing about the cartoon was that the ant had soul. The Aardvark spoke in this Jewish/Russian accent.
