I don't know anything about you, and I try not to make a practise of insulting total strangers, but that was a thoroughly daft, self-possessed and pretentious thing to say. Declaring yourself an arbiter of taste does not make it so. Do I even need to point out that all such a thing would prove is that the person in question would share similar tastes? Yeesh, I could just as easily sit here, type a list of personal preferences and then tersely state that anyone who listens to anything outside those parameters has inferior taste. Off the top of my head... If you're a fan of Wire, Neu!, Can, My Bloody Valentine, the Fall and the Undertones, then you have proved to me that you have great taste in music. See?
