I wish Michael Jackson had never became a megastar! Not so much because he's lost his mind, butchered his face, and constantly lies about the both of them ( ) but because I would love for him to be constantly touring with his brothers. Once a year groups like Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind, and Fire, P-Funk All Stars, etc. come to town, constantly touring. I wish Mike had never gotten so big that he doesn't even perform live anymore, and without his family on top of that.
For all of his solo success, the bulk of my favorite MJ music is with the J5 and The Jacksons, the good ole days when every black family wanted to be a member of the Jackson clan...they truly were like royalty to us back in the day. But now.... Well, there's always the music and the memories it provides I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

My favorite is the "Destiny" and "Triumph" era. I liked the music much better when he was a part of The Jacksons. Songs like "Walk Right Now", "Lovely One", "Blame It On The Boogie", and "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" were much more funky that his solo stuff. Andy is a four letter word.

well said! Anyway, it was his destiny to become the legend he is today. He did great without his brothers and gave us some of the greatest music of all time. Instead of wishing he was never that big, well, u should wish that he's 'coming soon'. better than ever! atleast that's what I wish

He was always just so naturally gifted in what he did, and tho he was good with the brothers, his real shine has always been as a solo artist. Yup, I am wishing the 'coming soon' part.

I'm speaking of an era you two know nothing about. Michael was already a legend before his mega cross over solo success. Didn't have to sell 50 million, maintain his solo status, and fuck his face up. He wanted to do all of that, and that's cool. Two of my all time favorite MJ recordings are solo releases. But the level of success he's achieved has screwed with him, as it probably would have done anyone else. Now he doesn't just perform regularly, as I wish he would...he has to try to outdo himself. Same goes for his albums and songs...a lot of the honesty is missing. Prince is a legend also, and he's always touring, always putting out fresh and honest music. There are other legends that also perform regularly, such as the ones I mentioned in the first post, along with McCartney, Dylan, etc. But Michael has being deified so that he won't/can't connect with people on the level he used to. Stevie Wonder is a legend, and I've seen him on tv more in the past ten years than I ever have. And it's not for legal problems either. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

This thread is about how I don't get to see the musical side of MJ because he's such a megastar, and all that his celebrity has costs him...and me. I would love to see Mike just show up at a 5-10,000 capacity place and rip a 20 song set...without the backup dancers, the re-enacting of music videos, special effects, lip synching...just singing and dancing his bony but off. And yeah, his brothers could show up also, singing the old Motown greats, stuff from The Jackson lp's (1976-1980)...that'd be the shit! Yeah, it would be nice for Mike to get back to the music and do something with the family again. "Can You Feel It" is still my all-time favorite Jackons song. Yeah. "Heartbreak Hotel" is one of The Jacksons best songs. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Yeah. "Heartbreak Hotel" is one of The Jacksons best songs. Yeah it's one of my faves too. Give me Heartbreak Hotel instead of Hotel California any day. And I do not think he was inspired by Eagles' song when writing it at all.

Just before they do the lean, another dancer comes on stage, lights turn off and audience is only able to see that dancer. At that time they plug their shoes to the surface, and then the lights turn on.with their shoes glued to the surface, they're able to do the lean.noticed they're wearing the same shoes

You and his devoted fans can hang on too that yourselves. MJ has fucked up too much now to ever reclaim is fame he once had. He had it together during thriller face and all and he was the one that wasn't happy. He did this all to himself. He is to blame. Nobody else. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Correct! MJ patented some special hooks that come up out of the floor and clasp the heel of the shoe to the floor. The blueprints and legal docs were online somewhere.
