Hey, what about "You Got It Bad"? I still freakin love that song.
I cannot stand that song which makes me not able to stand Burn cuz they sound exactly alike.

Which both sound like outtakes from Jagged Edge to me.

He's shit, plain & simple. R&B Pop/Pap at it's worst pissed
I had the misfortune of seeing him on MTV for 5 minutes a month or 2 ago & in the interview he said that "you never know, my new album could sell more than Thriller"! What an idiot.
He might have to write a decent song first - I have yet to hear even a half decent song come from his mouth.

chair
The Funk, the whole funk & nothin' but the funk, ya dig?!

I think he dances good, but NONE of his songs apeal to me and as many of you have mentioned, he is just another bad impersonator of MJ. Same with justin. I can't see talent in them except they can move a little bit.

well atleast usher admits he likes Michael.

Justin said, I'm gonna quote him;

" It was good to see some of my idols become completely mad."
" Evrything about him is weird "
" Industry has consumed him "

Shut the fuck up already! Without that "mad" guy you would be nothing asshole mad .

His appeal is that todays young record buyers have a sorry-ass selection
to choose from...
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Furthermore,Usher's much celebrated dance moves are stuff I do when I'm drunk off my ass and goofing around with the pop-lock-mj-robot vibe .I can't belive he gets paid millions for what I do in jest.Hmmm...maybe that's the joke.

nod That's kinda what I was thinking...every lil young black dude can dance like him. What's the big deal, it's nothing new at all.

"mad"... as in crazy? i doubt he'd use that term, being American.

but anyway, is anything he said in those quotes incorrect?

I replied while ago but I like your reply better. I like my songs harder and faster too and definitely agree that most of today's music is just shit.

I disagree with it having nothing to do with age. That's all young people know is midtempo music. It has dominated music for almost 15 years. People blame computers on young people being more overweight than they have ever been. I blame it on the music. It's not fast enough to shake the fat off their asses. Sure, every now and then someone samples "Planet Rock" or "Egypt, Egypt" and makes a new fast song. I used to like it in the beginning but it gets boring after awhile. Give me something new, fast, funky, and unsampled.

i am down with those that don't get his appeal either. For me he is something in the mould of Michael jackson, and i even think i saw a promo 4 one of his gigs where he is sporting a glove like MJ did back on the Dangerous tour opener Like justin timberlake, Usher seems to me like a Michael Jackson for today's youth, only nowhere near as good, but still decent enough at times to listen to or watch.

oh yeah, and there ain't nothing unique about him. He, along with Justin Timberlake, just don't have that x-factor that would see them going on for over 20 years in this industry (ofcourse i could b proven wrong, i'll admit). But these critters just don't have that something that MJ, Prince, Stevie Wonder etc had.

Here's the deal. Take that "Burn" vid, and you could take a number of "artists" and put them in that vid and it would still end up good (that is if you think it's good). But take someone to do Billy Jean, or P's Kiss, and it all ends up in shambles for the most part.

Get the point? Good. Let's dance:)

When i have a few drinks i can write, and compose some mad tunes. For instance i came up with "Yeah" and "Burn" while having a few shots of vodka.....hrmm hold on.....my memory is not that good.....with "Burn" it was a different story. I came up with that while doing a crap. I actually wrote it on the two bits of paper left after i wiped my ass. It all took me about 2 minutes. So that's two pieces of crap in 2 minutes. Not bad, eh?smile))

i remember in the 80's music, television, movies always used to aim for the 25-40 demographic because they had more money to spend on things...when did that all change to like 12-18? it seems that is the target audience for everything nowadats
