Saw Kelis last night... One of the better gigs I have seen.
She did an excellent job for a girl who was losing her voice! She's so damn sexy, a great little dancer and really down to earth...doesn't seem to have anything resembling an ego. Her band were tight as hell and the only cons about them were the guitarist played some pretty wanky solos and the DJ needed to shut the fuck up at times (yelling over musicians' solos and Kelis' singing). I'll try and piece it together...it went something like this (these are the ones I remember): Got Ya Money (played by the band and sung by the back-up singer as she came out) Young, Fresh and New (totally rocked up live band version - awesome!) In Public (provocative sexy dances by Kelis all round!) Rolling Through the Hood Attention Get Along With You Perfect Day (rockin' poppy number from Wanderland) Stick Up Caught Out There Trick Me Milkshake as I say, I can't remember them all, but those were the best! .
