Awesome concert last night from my favorite jazz group the Pat Metheny Group. Pat's level of musicianship is impeccable..INDEED. The new guys in their band..Richard Bona, Cuong Vu and Antonio Sanchez are so awesome(Sanchez is terrifying on drums...his sense of rhythm and timing is astonishing). For those of you who haven't heard their music, please get some of their recordings. Their music is laced with such, beauty and depth until it's almost frightening. Also, if they're in your town...pleae check them out. You won't regret it. I rank this concert with Stevie's show here in Atlanta in 88' and them LIL MAN's Lovesexy Tour here in 88'. Simply mindblowing. Thanks Pat for a wonderful concert. Yo' PFUNKJAZZ, I think this current PMG line-up is one of the strongest configurations of the group ever assembled.

thanx i was contemplating going 2 one of the DC shows now i think i will saw pmg at a college gym years ago (winter tour between 1st circle and still life) was a great show no stage!! trhey just had their equipment set up on the floor at center court.

Yea they held together in LA for a 3 hr gig.

Nice add on the trumpet cuz I'm always jonesin' for some horn solos when they play.
