Does anyone remember funk artist Bobby Nunn? Does anyone remember Bobby Nunn? Sometimes he sang in a falsetto like Prince and some of his songs had very much a Prince-like sound.
Some of his songs were: She Is Just A Groupie Hanging Out At The Mall These songs sound a lot like Prince...the voice and the music: Private Party Sexy Sassy Got To Get Up On It He only had had two albums to the best of my knowledge and later on went on to produce The Jets' "Rock It 2 U". The ironic thing, I read he was discovered by Rick James but he sounds SOOO much like Prince. Andy is a four letter word.

I remember his song "She's Just A Groupie".Heard it alot on R&B radio in late 1982/early 1983.The second verse was interesting...
"She'd do anything if Prince would take her home....that's what she says" It's a funny song.Dontcha just love the spoken part where Bobby's lady is backstage trying to get an autograph. He comes up to her and says "Where's your pen? You ain't even got a pen!"

Don't you miss the days when you could listen to R&B radio and hear funky jams like "She's Just A Groupie"? Songs that were all about "the groove"?
