I'm not on the Anti-?uestlove bandwagon at all, in fact I respect him enough 4 being helpful with the newcomers and getting the young bucks in the biz. Far as him being a solid drummer? Thats kinda overrated IMHO even tho the brotha can pull some helluva chops. But the man got a fuckin' hypocrite attitude, ANYBODY thats not in the Soulquaririan crew(or however the fuck you wanna spell that nameless word) ain't good enough to be delievering music. Like he got the game in lock & key. I'll NEVER 4get how he clowned L-Boogie by saying that her shit is "radio friendly & not raw" not even that but he also jumped on that "lawsuit" bandwagon and said that she SNATCHED his man's ideas(James Poyser) but after she came with the unplugged and SHUT EVERYBODY UP(including his stanky hairy fat greasy ass) the man flipped the script, and changed his attitude 360 degree and licked her ass all over that infamous RollingStones article. And ?uest gets my props because he keeps his hands in so many pots and isn't just limited to hip-hop. As far as I see he's got nothing but love for all of his peers, even when they shit on him and his group. I know The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill wasn't what he expected but I just don't recall him "clowning". However, you are one of the few however that will admit the boy has got some chops. Exactly! As far as I'm concerned, Jennifer Hudson was the best they had on there. She had a versatile, incredibly strong and consistent voice. She reminded me so much of another of my favorite vocalists -- Jennifer Holliday. I'm not frettin' it though; I don't doubt that she'll pick up a contract sometime soon. I just hope it's a good one. | |
