ok so this tune is well old, its on his greatest hits!!! theres alot of people that like it, i do!!! i think it has deeper meaing than a cab driver not wanting to pick him up, like...errm racism for instance and whats wrong with writing a song thats not about chicks and rock n roll all the time! | |

He was addressing the complaint that many black youths in New York had, that they could not get cabs to pick them up. Many felt that this was a not-so-subtle racist slight.

Come on... Lenny had three good albums before he started doing too much coke and ego-tripping and lost his brain up some whores ass. I thought his spiritual conversion (when Lisa Bonet got him to cut the dreads) would allow that musical talent to come back... but alas...   Change it one more time.. | |
