Joss Stone - new album in September taken from here
Sophomore Album On Stone's 'Mind' Little more than a year after emerging to critical raves, Joss Stone is planning a September return with "Mind, Body & Soul." The set will be the follow-up to the U.K. soul singer's EP "The Soul Sessions" and her debut full-length album for S-Curve Records. The 14-track album features a dozen songs written or co-written by the 17-year-old artist. Among her writing collaborators were Betty Wright, Lamont Dozier, Salaam Remi and Portishead's Beth Gibbons. "Mind, Body & Soul" also features the contributions of guest musicians Angie Stone (keyboards/vocals), Nile Rodgers (guitar) and the Roots' ?uestlove (drums). As with "The Soul Sessions," it was co-produced by S-Curve Records president Steve Greenberg, Wright and Michael Mangini. "You Had Me" -- co-written with Wright and Eg White -- will serve as the album's first single. Other songs featured on the set are "Right To Be Wrong," "Jet Lag," "Spoiled," 'Security," "Don't Cha Wanna Ride" and "Less is More." "The Soul Sessions" topped Billboard's Heatseekers chart and peaked at No. 39 on The Billboard 200, where it is No. 137 in its 39th week on the tally. The set has sold 548,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The 10-track disc of vintage covers has sold 2 million copies worldwide, according to S-Curve. Stone's official Web site says the artist will appear on PBS' "Austin City Limits," MTV's "Hard Rock Live" and Fuse's "Sessions @ AOL" in the fall. A tour in support of "Mind, Body & Soul" is also expected.

I'm not a hater! I missed this thread. Only thing that worries me about this is the inclusion of Beth Gibbons. I really like Portishead a great deal, I just don't know what Gibbons could contribute to the album. I also hope Betty Wright's presence on the album is as noteworthy as it was the previous one. I like all the so-called "neo soul" artists in recent years, but they didn't hit me the same way 70s soul does -- Soul Sessions did just that! I want more of what was on that release.
