Does Anybody Remember that Old School Rap Group UTFO?

They were popular around the mid-80's, with songs such as "Bite It", "Split Personality", "Roxanne, Roxanne", and the ballad "Fairy Tale Lover". I like them alot, they were kind of the "Outkast of the 80's", if you will. I can hear some of you thinking to yourself, "Who is UTFO, and why do they make you think of Outkast?" giggle I know some of you will disagree with me on that, but UTFO was quite popular back in the 80's. Anybody remember them and whatever happened to them? confuse

of course I remember! they were the hard core outlet for the Full Force production team and emerged outta the whole "Roxanne" blast.
last album I have was "Bag it and Bone it" from maybe 1991 or 1992
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

OH MY GOD!

AND.remember how all the imitators came out after them.
i remember some of the old rap.(from another group)

here it is....
when home boy came out he wasn't the same
skintight jeans and he changed his name
a pretty pink bow on the tip of his shoe
and a polka dot blouse just to hide his tattoo
i said "what? my man?his name? roxanne?
walkin' round town with a twitch in his can?
naw, that's not my boy i know you must be dreaming
'cuz i know my home boy used to be a real he-man
so you think roxanne's really hot
well check out the jerri curl wave to hide his bald spots

UTFO were a lot of fun. Roxanne Roxanne was easily their best and best-known song, but I also really dug Split Personality. That song is so 8th grade for me. smile

Hmm, I thought that UTFO did the song "Fly Girl" (at least that's what the track that I d/led from Kazaa said). But it could be incorrect, because peeps are always putting the wrong artist's name on certain tracks. lol

OMG - great songs! I was just listenin' to Itchin for a Scratch the other day. Full Force's greatest hits disc is excellent. And You Be Illin' cracks me UP! My boyfriend had never heard it until a few months ago and he couldn't stop laughing at these lyrics:

Dinner, you ate it
There is none left
It was salty, with butter
And it was def

You proceeded to eat it
Cuz you were in the mood
But holmes you should have read
It was a can of dog food!

lol

I remeber that Itchin' for a Scratch was from the Force M.D's. Full Force had that song " Unfaithful " and they produced songs for Lisa Lisa & cult jam. Damn, I miss my youth some times.

My mistake -- meant Force MD's typed Full Force (though I love them too!). Thanks for the correction.
