Does anyone have any Donna Delory cds?

I just heard a song from her 2001 CD "Bliss" - I think it was called "Where I've never been" and I really liked the vibe...just curious to know if all her solo stuff is like this.

I LOVE Bliss, but I haven't heard her new stuff. I think her first cd was more dance oriented. Check out www.donnadelory.com (for some reason it wont open for me right now, but I'm on her email list...) Also, Amazon has her listed.

Here is an email I got back in December:

FROM DONNA

I hope this message finds you happy and in good health at this very special
time of the Year. I have been finishing some music and getting ready for
Christmas with my new baby girl, Sofia. This is her first xmas and I love
to be rediscovering the wonder of it all. When you have the privilege of
seeing everything through a child¹s eyes with perfect innocence, it puts you
in touch with the magical side of life so many of us have easily forgotten.

Today I am happy to say that I am finished with my second CD this year. I
recorded a devotional CD this summer, ³In The Glow² and I just got home a
few minutes ago from mastering ³The Lover and The Beloved² which is a
collection of Sanskrit Mantra¹s over cool beats. That one will be out in
January. So I have been pretty busy creating and being a Mommy! I promise I
will be getting back in the studio in January to finish my more pop CD that
I know many of you have been asking me about. I hope to be out touring by
the spring or summer. I have missed being on the road performing, this time
of staying home and creating has given me more focus and greater
inspiration. I want you to know that I am always filled with encouragement
by your e-mails and the love you give to me. I only want to give this back
to you with my music. I wish you the best holiday ever, reaching inside
yourself to give more love to your family and friends than ever before.
Stay awake, in the moment and most of all in gratitude,
Peace, love, joy and bliss,
Donna

WOW. thanks for the update. Why did she say SECOND cd coming out? I'm confused...I thought BLISS was her second CD. Do you think she was inspired by Madonna to delve into spirituality they way she has or perhaps VICE VERSA? Maybe that's why she and Madge are still so close after all these years....I sort of got that "Spirutal" vibe from that song I heard by DD.

Also, why do you think she still continues to tour with Maddy when she has her own solo career?

Maybe Bliss is her first cd on that label? shrug Maybe she wants to distance herself from the dance music?

I don't know if Madonna influenced her or vice versa... I think it might be a more cultural/ heritage thing with DonnaD.

Why tour with Madonna? $$$$$ I imagine it affords her the luxury to be as creative as she wants to be when she does her own thing. I'm sure it's fun too! I'd love to be in her shoes.

I first heard Donna's music from Bliss when I worked at Borders and she performed there. She was AMAZING! Her voice was great, she played harmonium and the Cameron was there playing the electric cello, as well as Jay Belrose (Toured with Paula Cole) on drums. I think they were dating (Jay and Donna). Anywho, I was working at the registers and I think they paid her with a gift certificate to the store... and I rang her up! She was really nice. I can't remember what she bought, but I got her cd that night and I've been a fan ever since. I want to see her live again.

thanks Vina--by the way, i'm listening to POwer Station, "Murderess" right now!

since you seem to know a lot of about donna...do you know if she was initially trained as a singer/musician or dancer? i don't think i've appreciated DD until now...i do remember that she sang backup on belinda carlisle's "Heaven is a place on earth" record.

No prob Gypsy! I'm just pasting info here... but I can't post her bio from her website because it's Flash only, so check out www.donnadelory.com and click on the bio icon at the top! Looks like she was raised in a musical family. Now I want to get her other cds!
