I miss the whole "New jack swing" phase of music, u know...

Bobby brown, Bell,biv,devoe, Janet jackson, Michael jackson, guy, keith sweat,, mc hammer, jodeci, paula abdul, tevin campbell, father mc.....etc....


But then thats kids nostalgia 4 me-oh and those street movies of late 80's-early 90's like "Hangin' with the homeboyz", "Strictly business", "Mo' money".....


and the sci-fi- action arnie or buddy movie ripoffs too of same period like "Gunmen" "Last boy scout" etc.....


I miss whole period in every type of media.....grew up in tht period u c.....

New Edition is on tour.....


I heard they are really doing the damn thing....

That cut is good, as is album "The revival"! TTT were cool, I love their "Sons of soul" album still, which is alot more 'organic' to their earlier stuff

You can say that again! All those good bands would never make it today. It seems that, by and large, to make it in the current R&B scene, you have to be a product of a producer and marketable with an image. I like the New Jack Swing stuff, but again, most of those artists were just an extension of the producers. Bobby Brown (though I like a great deal of his early stuff) was not a good singer, but he had that sound that Teddy Riley engineered. It coulda been just about anyone that sang it -- but it happened to be him. As good as it was at times, I think that was the start of the downward trend in the R&B scene.

Yes...Deon...Must Be The Money...I Liked that song and him on SNL was Funny...I remember the GUY guys were at Prince's shows wayyyy Back....I Miss LIVING Color when Corey wore his BODY GLOVE and Sang CULt OF PERSONALITY....I Saw them and that was All Great...I Miss Prince playing when he did with Vernon REID....That was the Symbol Tour..Lenny..Nona...
