It is Never Buy Texas From a Cowboy from the 1979 album of the same name by Dawn Silva and Lyn Mabry, better known as the Brides of Funkenstein. That was their second and last album. First one was Funk or Walk in 1978. There was a live album released in the 1990s as well. Dawn Silva recently released her solo debut, which is decent but includes no P-Funk alum. Lyn Mabry performed with the Talking Heads in the 1980s and is a good friend and business associate (some say more than that) of Sheila E. Hope that helps. Gotta tell ya though, the only picks of yours besides The Brides that I am feeling are Groove Line, One Nation and Funkin for Jamaica. The other ones are too disco for me. Peace, Scott If you've got funk, you've got style. | |
