I don't listen to Mariah a lot anymore, but "Vision of Love" will always be my fav. Mariah song. And I like her unplugged version of "I'll Be There" Four strings across the bridge. Ready to carry me over,Over the quavers, drunk in the bars,Out of the realm of the orchestra

I love Mariah Carey but its just to hard to pick one song. I love the song Vision of love, and I still sing her version of I'll Be There around the house. I also like Dreamlover, My All, Emotions, Loverboy, and Fantasy. So many more but those are my faves right now. Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM

I would have to say "Slippin' Away" which was a b-side to "Always be My Baby" Always be...was a great song as well as Vanishing and Breakdown [This message was edited Mon Jul 5 19:53:32 2004 by Janfriend]

HONEY!!!
When that Treacherous Three "Body Rock" synthbass drops in, I lose it and jam like Mariah just put the song out.

I guess, for me, that's when I don't like Mariah's songs -- when they sound like other people's songs. She's always said Genius of Love is one of her favorite songs, so why didn't she just out and out remake it? I don't think Fantasy is a great song, because it just makes me want to listen to the original, especially when she kept some of the lyrics from GoL. Same goes with Honey. I hear the Treacherous 3 sample and it makes me wanna turn off her song and listen to theirs instead. I dunno. I guess that's my problem with heavy sampling like that. It doesn't necessarily make for a bad song, it just distracts me.

Mariah's voice is good enough to the point that she doesn't need P.Diddy and others. I hate when good singers do that...lower their talent for money. Four strings across the bridge. Really didn't feel Mariah after the Daydream album but I still listen to her debut fairly often as well as Emotions...
Some faves: "Vanishing" "All In Your Mind" "Sent From Up Above" "And You Don't Remember" "Can't Let Go" "Til The End Of Time" "Underneath The Stars" (probably my fave of hers) IMO, of course! Matt "Because when you say annihilation my friends, you've said all there is to say" - Henry Rollins

I always thought "Fantasy" and "Honey" were like old school homages, more than a pop-rap collabo. Those songs certainly don't give me the same nausea as her collaborations with Ja Rule or Cam'ron or whoever later on. Maybe that's because I have more respect for the likes of a 1995 Ol' Dirty Bastard compared to those pop crumbs posing as "hiphop".

"One Sweet Day" is still my favorite Mariah song. I love the A Capella versions on the CD single. Plus, I like "Someday", "Heartbreaker"(Remixed) and "Baby Doll". SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

My favorite ballad is "Lead The Way", and my favorite uptempo track is the So So Def remix of "Honey". When she re-records a vocal it usually makes it even hotter...
