I listened 2 Divine Emotions the other day for the first time @ the weka sto, and the album was not good at all 2 me....

Except for track #3


Damn that is a beautiful song. I have went back and back and back 2 the weka sto just 2 listen 2 it over n over. It only cost $4.95, i should get it b4 it's gone.

Has any1 heard this song? Its very cool.

Yeah, I'm a big Narada Michael Walden fan (at least, his early stuff, from 76 to about '82), and I agree, That album sucks for the most part, but I do like that tune!..like you said, that's probably worth the 3 or 4 bucks that you can find the CD for...

narada become a mega twinkly sounding power ballad producer in the 80's-early 90's procucing some of my fav tunes.....

"Put your mouth on me","Till the moneys gone"-Eddie murphy! Both these tracks r way funky and "Put your mouth on me" seems very out of place compared to his usual ballads of emotion! Both tracks r top rate and i wish he did more uptemos like this (also Walter afanasieff-another super ballad producer to be is on keyboards on both these tracks..)

I know thii sounds ignorant, but If i like those tracks mentioned on my earlier post, would I at all like his earlier solo albums?

I seem 2 only end up liking one song off each album lol. Althogh he writes good songs

If you don't have it, pick up 1982's "Confidence". With jams like #1, Summer Lady and Confidence, that's Narada at his best. He really sold out with much of his mid to late 80's stuff.

Narada's had a varied career, starting out playing drums with fusion greats like Mahavishnu/John Mclaughlin and Weather Report, and rockers like Jeff Beck and Santana, then gradually moving into R&B and becoming one of the most in demand producers around...(Stacy Lattisaw, Angela Bofill, Phylis Hyman,Whitney Houston, Sister Sledge,Mica Paris, Aretha Franklin, ,etc.) IMO, his strongest work was his 70's solo albums, particularly 1978's "Awakening" and 1977's "I cry, I smile" - these are more in the 70's soul category with a a couple of uptempo cuts , like his club hit "I don't want nobody else ('To Dance With You")-- side 2 of Awakening is a crash course on Narada's history--it takes you through Jazz/rock fusion,R&B and quiet Storm ballads on one side of vinyl...his first album, Garden of love light is mostly Jazz/rock fusion with some soul ballads...I think his solo stuff became more hit and miss as he went into the 80's, though...
