Maggot Brain hands down. His ultimate solo.
Comin Round The Mountain would be next for me.
Free your mind/Red Hot Momma, Super Stupid all have good licks/fills.
California Dreaming is cool. Anything that Hazel played on is tasty.

to your original list, I would add.....well, if anybody has heard the unreleased, full version of Soul Mate (instead of fading on Eddie's guitar riff at the end, it continues for another 2 1/2 minutes, and he expands on the riff--not a bona fide solo, but definitely some of my favorite Eddie Hazel guitar! biggrin

I like how a lot of his stuff was mixed to the background like he was playing in a huge hallway, like The Song Is familiar, Good Thoughts, was it the fact that he used a lot of reverb?

according to a lot of the Die hard P-funk researchers, that is actually Eddie on Soul Mate and Comin' Round the Mountain , even though he's not credited on the liner notes; Soul mate is Eddie's composition , with lyrics by George Clinton (Hazel was always put writing credits under his mother's name, "Grace Cook" )...

where can I hear the full version of Soul Mate( I have to hear this!), and once again can someone burn me a copy?, maybe I have something we could exchange, I knew that was Eddie on Comin Round, I can tell just by listening, I had a feeling that was him on Soul Mate, but like you said it's uncredited

also "Pray my soul/sacred to the Pain" off of Bill laswell's Axiom Funk "_Funkcronomicon", probably one of the last things Eddie recorded and one of his most impressive, I always thought...
