My Madonna concert review!I was only inches away from her...

I'm not really good at writing reviews because I have a horrible memory and forget a lot of things but I'll try my best lol.

Monday night me and my best friend went to see Madonna at the Worcester Centrum in Worcester,Mass.I won dance pit tickets from VH1 so we had to be at the venue at 6:45.When we got there we were just waiting around outside where there were a bunch of people from different radio stations playing Madonna music and stuff. There was also a Madonna party thing going on in another part of the building.A woman from Kiss 108 tried to get me and my friend to go in to enter a Madonna look-alike contest but we didn't have time lol.

When we actually went inside the building we got in the line for the dance pit winners. Then we all got our tickets and purple wrist bands and the tour director told us all the rules. Then they walked us into the arena(we all felt so special walking past everyone lol.Everyone was staring at us.They were jealous!lol)and into the pit. When we got in there I couldn't believe how close we were.We were basically a part of the stage. It was AWESOME!! Now onto the actual show...

She started with Vogue and did her awesome yoga poses.I can't believe how in shape she is.My friend was like "holy shit her arms are jacked.I want her body" lol
I hope I look that good when I'm 45.

Here is the setlist from the show:

The Beast Within
Vogue
Nobody Knows Me
Frozen
American Life
Express Yourself
Burning Up
Material Girl
Hollywood
Hanky Panky
Deeper and Deeper
Die Another Day
Lament
Bedtime Story
Nothing Fails
Don't Tell Me
Like A Prayer
Mother and Father
Imagine
Into the Groove
Papa Don't Preach
Crazy For You
Music
Holiday

The whole show was unbelievably awesome. She sang all the songs live(no lip synching here ladies and gentlemen)and she sounded great. She also played guitar during a few of the songs(Burning Up,Material Girl and Nothing Fails I think). The dancing was great too.She has some HOT dancers by the way lol. When we were waiting in the pit before the show started a young black guy came in with a video camera and was taping us.Then when the show started we realized he was one of the dancers lol.Everytime Madonna or one of her dancers would come near us we screamed SO loud.Me and my friend had the loudest screams in the whole place lol.

It was soo weird being so close to someone as awesome as Madonna. The only problem was the fact that I was the smallest person in the "dance pit" so I was on my tippy toes almost the whole time lol.But it was SO worth it.At some points during the show I could have literally grabbed her if I wanted to.

She ended the show with Holiday and everyone was on their feet and dancing.I didn't want the show to end! lol

When we left we went to the merchandise counter to see what they had. There were alot of shirts that I wanted but they were soooo expensive. The one I really like was $85 so I decided to get a poster instead lol.

I know this wasn't much of a review but I'm tired and I really suck at explaining things. All I want to say is that I LOVE MADONNA AND I LOVE VH1 FOR HAVING THE FRONT AND CENTER WITH MADONNA CONTEST! I still can't believe I was only inches away from Madonna and practically on the stage with her

i'm so psyched for this concert! i am watching blonde ambition right now and i just can't wait for next sunday!! this show is very corny at certain parts...um, causing a commotion anyone...but so much of it is a great show! i hope re-invention is better since everyone hails blonde ambition as her best tour (personally, girlie show was my favorite).

"Girlie Show" WAS my favorite Madonna tour...until I saw "Re-invention".I'm now gonna have to reconsider lol

btw,"The VelvetRoper" is seeing Madonna right now,we should get her review tomorrow. How cool is it to see Madonna on the 4th of July?

my friend called me from the venue at about 800 my time. burning up was being performed! i got all faggy and now i'm dying for sunday to get here, lol!

so...you are really considering if re-invention was better than girlie show, huh? is that maybe just because you just went to the show recently. maybe there is a bias because the experience is fresh in your mind.

Very likely.I think it's gonna take some time for me to really decide what tour is the best.I'll have to wait til the "Re-invention" DVD comes out,so I can watch it again and see how it stacks up to "Girlie Show".

That's cool that your pal called you from the concert."Burning Up" is fierce, she really tears that one up!

i just don't get why she's lip syncing vogue (on blonde ambition) but no other songs. maybe she was just tired.

To be honest,I don't even have a video of "Blond Ambition" (I only have "Truth Or Dare" which features alot of the performances) but I wish they would release it on DVD.It's long overdue. Not sure why "Vogue" is lip-synced on that tour.

Do you ever watch 'Ciao Italia' (the DVD of the "Who's That Girl" tour)? Truly DREADFUL.Her worst tour ever.

She actually lip synched several songs on Blonde Ambition, still my favorite tour of hers. If I had half a billion dollars, I woulda seen this one.

i was just watching the girlie show last night and she lip syncs a bunch there also. erotica was definitely a lip sync job and vogue as well. i think justify my love...there were others, i just can't remember which. quite a few though, it seemed. i don't care, girlie show is still my favorite tour. lip syncing never seems to bother me as long as they were the ones in the studio. i mean, c'mon, i like britney!

I think Erotica, Vogue & the 1st part of JML r the only songs she lip synchs on the GS.
