dont know much about the hiphop culture but this kills them all nod

You are 100% right on two fronts:

1 - You don't know much about Hip Hop culture

2 - "Gangster's Paradise" did kill 'em all, the whole hip hop genre. After hip hops golden age (93 - early 96), once Coolio's GP dropped, the whole shit became commercial, cheap & tacky. Puffy went from a dope remixer / producer to a shiny suit sellout, and while De La Soul were singing "It might blow up, but it won't go POP", that's exactly what happened with Coolio, It blew up...and went POP! Worst of all, hip hop can't seem to get back to the point b4 that release sad
