Kenny Loggins: Does anyone remember this song? Love Will Follow...it came out around '83 or '84. OMG...I downloaded it a few weeks ago and I can't stop listening to it. The song is so sensual and funky, with Kenny singing in his falsetto voice. I guess this was his stab at soulful, jazzy-type music and he passed with flying colors. And a shout out to the bass player, the bass is simply awesome..

One of My favorite Loggins tracks! (an' that's Nathan East on bass) " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

I recall seeing a couple of the downloads that listed Shanice's name. I recall thinking that I didn't know she was on the song. I don't think I have heard that version before. I can only imagine how nice it is. Shanice has a beautiful voice. If I am not mistaken, she was still a teenager during that time and to know that she was able to hold her own with a veteran talent like Kenny L is cool. She is very underrated. I don't know her age though and yes, she has an amazing voice!!!!! Peace [This message was edited Mon Jul 5 10:40:00 2004 by tritoncin] "America is a continent..."

Before I clicked on the subject, I was hoping it was this song. A local smooth jazz station used to play it often. It's a beautiful song. I like the live version with Shanice, but it doesn't beat the original. It just flows from beginning to end. Nothing annoys me more is when radio cuts the end of a song, instead of just letting it fade, which is one reason I don't listen to radio much anymore. "Love Will Follow" I run out of breath and start to shake I love you with all my heart can take I hold you beside me in my sleep And long to be dreaming in my sleep We've come into a place in time Where I am yours and you're mine A circle filled with love If you'll come away with me I could show you ecstasy Close your eyes and we will lead And love will follow Take a chance and hold my hand I know you'll understand We'll find a special land And love will follow A smile on your lips and in your eyes A stranger adrift in paradise You touch me and slowly move away Take all of the night you need to take Just wait a little while and see What you mean to me I've waited all my life If you come away with me I could show you ecstasy Close your eyes and we will lead And love will follow Use your wings and fly away And come with me today Your heart will lead the way And love will follow (If this was just a chance of make-believe) (You'd never feel it this way) I've always wanted to love somebody As much as I, I wanted you now We've come into a place in time Where I am yours and you're mine A circle filled with love If you'll come away with me I could show you ecstasy Close your eyes and we will lead And love will follow Take a chance and hold my hand I know you'll understand We'll find a special land And love will follow Girl, I swear I'll never fall It's a natural pure law And everywhere we go Love will follow Use your wings to fly away And come with me today Your heart will lead the way And love will follow (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) (Hold me long, all night long, where you belong, my baby) FADE "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
