hehe, they certainly seem to be , looks like Mr.Day's creative well has run dry , maybe he should go knocking on the purple doors where all his best material came from in the 1st place.

i don't about U all - and by what I've read already you don't like the Morris Day stuff. I like the 4 new tracks. I don't see nothing wrong with them. You have to admit it's better than the last album he did a few 100 years ago. The one after Daydreaming. It was bad.

Maybe it's just me, But I likes the new tracks. razz

morris morris morris . . . nice try superfligh . . . "last night" has wee potential but the lyrics are "7 days" baybee. and you can't go selling a new album of all your ole shizt that Prince wrote . . .

eh - he's still Morris, right?!
and for that he'll always be c.o.o.l.

This CD is great! call
I listened to the whole thing, and u can't complain - it's pure funk, and the new songs aren't as bad as some of his previous solo stuff.

Should include "get a job" and espically "somebody's watching me" though - that's funky as hell

Go Morris, Go Morris! worship

It's not great and it's not horrible.I'll buy it to add to my collection.Although,it is kinda' funny (not funny, ha ha)to me that he is using The Time to market his new solo stuff. And the new stuff is simply solo stuff from Morris.I would love to see a new Time album. And why does he never include any of the cool tunes from his first solo album w/the live stuff? And why the hell is "Fishnets" so sawed off? He should have consulted me on content before releasing.

I wonder why this is not called a "Time" album but a Morris Day album.
It's more "The Time" songs anyway.

"Last Night" has a sample of a Public Enemy Loop. I wonder if it is credited.

Last Night is pretty cool, certainly worth a listen. The track, "In My Ride, " is pretty tired. I think the whole car thing has been played out and done too many times by the rappers that this song just sounds so out-dated. I would love to have this on bootleg, LOL.

Give Morris and the boys a break! They've only had about 13 years to come up with some new songs. You don't expect them to actually work, do you?

Well, this will be worth a download from a.b.m.p, but I wouldn't pay a dime for this weak-ass effort.

Prince owns the rights to the name "The Time". By releasing live tracks under the name "Morris Day" it changes the whole rights issue and affects cost and permission.

Damn, Morris has sure dined well for the last 20-something years for simply coming up with the groove to Party Up - it's gotta be one of the sweetest meal tickets of all time

After listening to audio clips of the new "Morris Day" album, I have to say that most of the new songs sound like a cover band doing Beyonce, Nelly and most other "current" Pop. "Last Night" is the best offering of these tracks, but even this sounds like a Morris DAy solo effort, not a collaboration with Jesse J, and the boys.

The new songs are OK. Nothing great, but definetly better than guaranteed. Atleast they have some of the "Time" humor that doesn't come out on most of his solo stuff. What annoyed me the most is that the live stuff is out of order and edited
