Bloody hell! My Stepson is more interested in TC Ellis than Prince!!

Right! I've decided i live in Bizarro world.My Wife's son (just 19) loves rap, nothing wrong with that, but he point blank refuses to listen to Prince in anyway, even his fonky stuff, yet he's just gone into my music cupboard and taken TC Ellis's album to his friends house for him to copy as they're both heavily into rap and his curiosity got the better of him.

I'm extremely pissed off and dismayed at this turn of events.1. TC ellis's CD was hidden with good reason (It's crap) 2. I said it's Prince related (barely, thank god) but he didn't care, cause it's supposedly a bloody rap CD (though anybody that like rap would tell you something else).3. It'll certainly put more distance between him and me musically i.e. "Prince is partly responsible for that? told you he's shit!".

I just hope they only listen to Miss Thang and Pussycat.

What Next? Carmen Electra?

Tell your stepson to get a fucking clue and not like music because of the genre or image associated with it, but on the merits of the music alone.

Sorry to say this about your stepson, but I hate those morons that won't even TRY to listen to something because the name is Prince, and even if they do, they are predetermined to hate it to prove themselves right.

I can think of about 10 friends INSTANTLY that are guilty of this, and it makes me so angry.

He flipped it on Bambi, and Levi done the production.

and some of the lines were great "DJ Spinderella come scratch this itch"

My only advice to u for your stepson (and u want him to listen to Prince music) is to introduce him to Tony M's raps (same as TC if u ask me), which will get him into Prince's music!

HerRoyalBadnes s	If the kid likes rap and hate Prince, let him! I can't stand when my mom makes me listen to crappy old lithuanian music, and there's nothing to do. Don't push this kind to love Prince like U do - this can't be changed. U won't earn his respect by making him a Prince veteran to become. He'll just think U're a crazy old man who likes to listen to some old sh*t.
