Apart from the Rio concert screening, there doesn’t seem to be anything I’m disappointed to have missed. The big concert looked OK, but I’d rather see the bands separately, doing what they do best. Do we know if there were Vault tracks played? Rumour was it would just be the new album.

It's just ridiculous that the past three days VIP did not get any unreleased Prince audio or video. And non-VIP didn't get any at all. . Today (Sunday) VIP have the one hour listening session (which is possibly just the upcoming album), and for everybody there's a two hour "Prince in concert footage" from 4-6 (contents unknown). . IMHO that's a load of BS.

This year was a complete dud, and the same people will swear up and down that it wasn't. Same as it ever was.

According to Funkatopia, the following were played at the listening session today: 1) Whenever (1976)- Grand Central track
2) Machine (1976) - Another Grand Central track. Aka Funk Machine
3) I Am You (1977) - Disco leaning track that's on Timeless
4) Question of U (1985) - Prince and Eric Leeds only. No vocals.
5) Evolsidog (1985) - The entire song.
6) Tick Tick Bang - Do NOT be confused. An entire raucous rock track that sounds NOTHING like the track you know.
7) I'll Do Anything (1992) - Full NPG band version recorded while on tour.
8) Life O' the Party (2002) - Camille version with a DC funk bounce. Sparse instrumentation.
9) Song of the Heart (no vocals) - Only used as a backdrop here for a brief fan contest on stage.
10) The Guilty Ones (2007)
11) Girls in the Band (2008)
12) So Bad (Jan. 14, 2016)
To their credit, they didn't just play the Timeless album as everyone expected, but they did pull the "fan contest onstage during the middle of a song" bullshit again

Hopefully *this* Tick Tick Bang is going to be the one featured on Timeless

It's known the date(s) of the Rio gig(s) they showed? Were they the complete?

I’d have assumed, if rumours of an Emancipation release were true, they’d have had something HD and remastered!? Why show this, when they have other HD remastered shows ready to release!? . Emancipation is too early for HD. Prince was still doing SD five years later.

I'm inclined to think perhaps they don't have anything ready. Or even if they do they have no clue of what's in their can. People might have been lucky, it could have been the Syracuse show or whatever

. "Isn't it great how he is talking to small groups of fans and taking notes?" . NO. No it isn't. He should not only be talking to the kind of fans who are willing to spend stupid money on this lame shit.We went over this months ago when he only talked to fans who were in Minneapolis at the end of April. . He should be listening to the REPEATED criticism in all kinds of fan places. Instead he gets upset at those comments and even behaves like a petulant child over and over again. Just look at what happened at the vault panel. Apparently they whined about online fan criticism *every day* of this celebration. . I'm still baffled how you can do a 90 minute panel about the vault and literally no concrete info is reported, other than vague promises of undetermined box sets. Zero reflection on the shit show of the past year. Zero reflection on the shit show of "Timeless". . They showed a movie and held a party in a completely unfit place, and then people say that we should be praising them because organising this is hard and takes a lot of effort. What insanity is this? . "Well they did their best." And as we have been saying for *years*: their best is amateur shit and nowhere good enough. Funny how there are almost no photos from what was available at PP, because I swear I saw a fucking bouncy castle in one of them. If they're so great, why don't they show their accomplishments? Show all those "activations" at PP. . Or what about this: .
. Why don't these clowns hire competent, experienced people? How come they have "decades of experience in the music biz" and yet they cannot produce decent merch? . Etc etc etc. . [Edited 6/9/26 9:53am]
