I don't think I belive this either.

This would be the first account I've heard that his rider was "outsized".He seemed pretty at ease playing small venues with 3EG.

There does seem to be some attempt to bring it back however. So I can see why they'd want to use his name.

You're talking about the 2010s, back in the 1990s he still had massive demands.

Yeah, this story doesn't sound that unbelievable to me. "Beg" may be putting too fine a point on it, but it wouldn't suprise me if he repeatedly expressed interest in joining the tour (even if only for a few dates).
