It's sad and hilarious to see the estate using their multiple social media accounts to desperately sell "the last few remaining" tickets for weeks. It starts in two days and this is still ongoing.
It's funny how the self-proclaimed business geniuses always end up being so fucking bad at selling shit.

I bought a GA ticket mainly to see the concerts (now 1 concert!).
.
.
I hope to enjoy the panels on Friday though.

Who else is going? I'm going myself since none of my friends love Prince like me |

$1150 a piece for VIP tickets, or $600 a piece for general admission tickets where you don't even get to hear unreleased music. But you do get access to "The Vault & Future Plans" panel, where they'll tell you about all the BIG YEAR that 2026 will be!

From my point of view...the best part to come is the panel about future plan and releases from the Vault if something interesting pop up from this discussion of course but I have my doubts because this might be better on the paper than what will be discussed for real...well ... we'll see? |

Strange that on 6/6, for the ATWIAD panel, there's only Bobby Z. and Doug Henders and Laura LiPuma, and no Wendy, lisa, Dr. Fink or Brownmark...

Just seen the timetable and its an absolute joke.
Under Gracelands Management, we got three nights of proper 90 min gigs at Prince's house.
With Londell in charge, last year, they cheapened it to two nights downtown.
And now, its one night, with 4 acts crammed into 3 hours.
The Saturday night 'event' is the streetparty, which is free to the public, and finishes at 10pm.
They've even abandoned the free shuttle buses between PP and Downtown on the Saturday.
As an international traveller, I wouldn't pay to fly over for this even if the event was free, let alone $800 for a GA ticket.
I've been to 2 Celebrations, in 2022 and in 2024
in 2022 most of the event was held at PP and there was a lot of downtime and you were stuck at PP with minimal access to food and drink (I'd say approx 2,000 maybe 2,500 attendees)
2024 split time at PP and cultural locations in downtown MPLS including 1st Avenue and the blend IMHO was much better, as you weren't stuck anywhere (i'd say approx 1,500 attendees)
I'm here again for 2025 and would agree what's scheduled looks lackluster but only time will tell... |

Glad to see we have someone at the celebration who can provide a few updates the next few days.
Have a nice time, Mattos!

I was there last year, and I did prefer being downtown, but I think there should have been a third night of live music. Prior years were better.
Hope you get a good one this year.
Let us know how it all goes. . |

Looking forward to hearing your views! I'll get back there one day but London is not close, and I want it to be worth it. |

According to Casey Rain on X, Charles said at the Celebration “You will hear these songs again.” I think we will find out soon if they actually have a plan for the vault. [Edited 6/6/25 19:31pm]U are now an official member of the New Power Generation
