Funny, I just got copyrighted today on Youtube and the song that was labeled was Thunder Ballet.

Does anyone else feel this way:

Why would songs like Martika's Kitchen be released with a Diamonds & Pearls set.

This song (just as example) was in no way related to the album, so why would it be included?

Just because it was recorded around the same time?

Makes no sense to me

Same thing with the Bonnie Raitt songs on SOTT

I am glad to have them but WTF are they doing on SOTT?

It ruins the mood for me

They should save that stuff for something totally different

Am I nuts?

Omitting "51 Hours" and "Exploding All Over Europe" is unforgiveable.

You act like he recorded stuff with a specific project planned but it's more like he recorded and then figured out the project / sorted into separated projects later.

Chicken/Egg did D&P come before the material or did the material come before D&P?

Originals
likely failed and will not be continued, so if they don't include those in accompanying-era SDE's where are they putting them?

An Originals series would've been fine if it were by era, in chronological order, and didn't use shitty cobbled together monster mixes. Short of something with that much planning in it, including them with the album SDE (really shouldn't even be an album SDE, these need to be done by years rather than being tied down to association with an album...) is the best way to do it... assuming the mixes aren't totally fucked like they were with Originals.

Again what is this “track list” based on? Source? Without a link or source I’m assuming this list is just a fantasy. Where did you find this?

Chill brother. This was found by someone else on a music publishing registry site. Listed for a 2023 release - though this is just an incomplete tracklist.

Just trying to figure out whether this is legit or just another let down.

Oh for fuck's sake, Originals was a one-off designed to fulfill the dumbass TIDAL contract. Hence the inclusion of the Martika track on that, even though it didn't fit: Jay-Z wanted it.

No, the Estate has always omitted to insert other demos of songs given to others in all the SDE products citing the exclusion for a possible Originals 2, so no, a plan for a continuation of the project in a certain period of management must have been there, even if only at the level of possible output.

Can we assume that Tip O My Tongue is the original Prince recording of the El Debarge song? Or is there a chance that it's a different song entirely?

Some have noticed that if you look at the source of this leak, the songs have IDs. And those are mostly sequential, but there are some gaps. Which suggests there could be more outtakes.

The total playing time of the above list is 159:39 (79:50 per disc, IF the tracks can be sorted this way), which is just about the maximum capacity for a red book CD. So I guess this is it.

When did this list has been deposed on the data base.....maybe since it was deposed & now ....plans about the content have been changed ? And it seems too that nothing about the Lovesymbol combo so rumoured to be released...this era has been cancelled it seems ? cool

Standing at The Altar wasn't on the original list so it could be more are to come.

I tried a few other numbers on the search but didn't find anything.

Strange that I Wonder and Player are missing.

Good points. Hopefully there'll be more.
I guess some songs that Prince once planned to release have been registered already, so now there's no need to register them again, maybe that's why I Wonder and Player are missing.

I guess "Love...Thy Will Be Done" should really be on this set as well, it's one of the biggest
songs to come out of the whole era.

I know we already have it on Originals, but perhaps another version could be included? smile

Agreed. It should be on here.

Never belonged with that Originals release. Was so out of place.

They should have kept that to purely 1983 to 85 songs.
