I'm glad Londell finally shared some info cuz the lack of communication has been frustrating. At least now we know there will be another box set. U are now an official member of the New Power Generation

In fact, everything he said confirms what we already know and points towards the leaked October release date for the D&P/Symbol SDE: announcement in early June + three/four months between announcement and release (which is what happened with previous SDEs) = early October release.

Hey, sorry if that has been covered before, but I can't find it anywhere... . Where did the rumor that D&P and Lovesymbol were going to be *combined* into one big SDE start? To me, that's a big mistake. But maybe it could work, if it were curated correctly. |

If those 2 albums are being remastered and re-released on vinyl though anyway, it doesn't make sense that they'd be the deluxe as well. I'm still hoping for a Parade deluxe tbh | |

. As eager as I am for ANY new Prince SDE, I will admit that I'm a child of the 80s, and I want a complete run of SDEs from "Dirty Mind" to "Batman" on my shelf before any of the 70s or 90s-on albums. |

What about a joint DIRTY MIND + CONTROVERSY "RUDE BOY" Super Deluxe with...
Full remasters of both albums... Full remasters of all b-sides for both albums... All the relevant unreleased Vault material for both albums... A remaster of the 2nd Coming Documentary...and Two soundbaord recordings from shows for both supporting tours??? |

I'm still hoping for a Parade deluxe tbh I also hope they will release a Parade SDE at some point but unfortunately it might take a while. I wish they could speed up the releases so we get at least 2 SDE a year. U are now an official member of the New Power Generation

I’m curious as to why people keep insisting on combining Dirty Mind and Controversy when it comes to a future SDE. Combining them would be like trying to combine Purple Rain and ATWIAD… Here’s to hoping that the estate releases an SDE for each album!

Agreed but can't we say that it has been done for the "SOTT" SDE with inclusion of "Parade" era songs? . Oh for fuck's sake. Each of those has their own tour, and there's probably audio and video of various concerts. And for each there are probably plenty of outtakes. Plus there's the side projects. . It's piss-easy to create an SDE for each of those separately. |

I think there are some real gems from the Vault from the 1980-1981 period.
The prototype of LET'S WORK (Let's Rock), the 2nd Coming Tour Intro Song, the song called WHEN THE SHIT COMES DOWN which is supposedly a huge favorite of Bobby Z, BIG BRASS BED, DEAR UNCLE GEORGE (an early version of PRIVATE JOY). So many possible jems! |
