I got turned onto Prince by my bigger brother when I was very young in the 80s, but for me, I'm always seeking the latest Prince, so, I'd really love to hear "Black Is The New Black" or the 2nd 3rd Eye Girl project he was working on. I love all eras, have favorites from all of them, but my favorite live bootlegs are from the mid 90s, the Park Sessions are fantastic, but I like all eras, I'm close to 50 it's all good to me and I'd like to hear anything I haven't already.

I'm 46, and I got into Prince aged 10 in 1986. So definately a Purple People Seeker. I'll tell you, listening to Sister, Let's Pretend We're Married & Head at that age was certainly eye opening! Think my parents thought of Prince as an alternative Michael Jackson, luckily they didn't hear the records!

I'm 43 (my birthday was just a week ago). I got into Prince after hearing "Little Red Corvette" on the radio at three years old. When my sister got the Purple Rain LP the following year, I was hooked for life.

So, going by the OP's premise, I'm technically in the "Purple Symbol" age demographic, but in every other sense, I'm "Purple People."

You musta had the most sophisticated young ears. I assume by your teen years you were into some advanced shit.

Me too. I am more excited about ´Black is the New Black´ than any classic deluxe (although I understand why the Estate is releasing these classics)

That's nice of you to say! I've always found things to love in every genre of music, but my horizons were really broadened in my early 30s.

- Yes! BTW, MonoNeon is a great musician and is developing a real nice career. For those who dont know him, I recommend. His music is very influenced by Prince.

Me too!

Mononeon's music is super funky, perfect combination of Pariament and Prince, with a contemporary phat sause over it.

He's also very creative on instagram, chenk him out.

The things he does, combined with Prince... man that can be the bomb!

why the hell don't they release that?

- Actually, I hope it´s better than ´Ruff Enuff´. They have talent to do so much better. But I am very curious.

.

There is already some stuff on the web featuring Mono and Prince. But it´s more rehearsals. Very good to listen to.

I got into him through a Deepfake porno, his spectacular buttocks reminding me of two child's bowling balls glued together. Can't believe he did music too.

People can like what they like and prefer what they prefer but the reality is Prince 1979-1989 was Prince at his highest peak. He was a leader- not a follower. That doesn't take nothing away from the rest of Prince's great career. It's just his genius era was over.
