The only releae this year will probably be a limited edition 7 inch vinyl release of a live version of 7 for all who attend the Celebration, like last year with that limited white vinyl 7 inch of D&P/NC2U live.

You're kind of both right. It was intended as a tongue in cheek comment on what would happen if it came to light that Prince was somehow still alive. But given the circumstances, I know that it was in poor taste so I was apologizing to XxAxX for making what could be seen as a disrespectful comment on what was originally a nice thought by them.

I still think it's a reference to Around The World In A Day Deluxe Edition. For a number of reasons. 1. The "7" references could be in relation to his 7th album. 2. An ATWIAD Deluxe would fit in well with the previous releases, given that the Estate seem stuck in the 80s. 3. Raspberry Beret is a hugely well known song. I knew the lyrics to practically the whole song long before I listened to my first Prince album. This is the kind of song they can market a re-release with. 4. I could be wrong about this and I'd like someone to correct me if that's the case, but I think I remember reading that after Purple Rain, Prince had recorded another album of similar quality material that he abandoned in order to change direction with ATWIAD. If that's true, these songs would make for excellent bonus material for a deluxe edition.

he mentioned in the 1985 Roling Stone interview, that he had an album's worth of songs that could have been the followup to 1999. And there were songs recorded post Purple Rain. (the last being When Doves Cry in March) However, it was also between this time that ATWIAD was recorded (everything but HELLO and some edits and overdubs and other tinkering was done by the end of 84)

and ATWIAD was reased just 2 weeks after the final PR show....by which time about half of Prade had been recorded.... so there just is not going to be a vast amount of new material from then...it was all just too quick. (and, not that it was all well planned out, they hoped to inclued the early version of Raspber Beret on thw 1999 SD but they could not find it.

Also if it was that why not use music from that time? What they did use inclued one of his screams from "the Max." So maybe it is 7 as in the song 7 (not to be confused with Seven).
