I'm confused...

@laytonian posted a thread about the death of Charles Koppelman.

@TrivaliPursuit replied that this story had already been posted on the 26th, but the link he provided was incorrect. The link takes you to an 23-year old Org thread about the remix of 1999. It has nothing to do with Mr. Koppelman, and certainly isn't about his death since it pre-dates his death by 23 years.

I replied pointing out the incorrect link.

But when I checked back just now, my reply is missing the the thread is locked.

Why would my post have been deleted? I was polite and matter-of-fact in pointing out the bad link. I wasn't rude or a jerk about it.

Was the thread locked because the topic is already covered in another thread?, as suggested by TrivialPursuit. If that's the case, then a link to the correct thread should be included (or at least leave my note that the exiting link is wrong).

Thanks. The thread to which you have referred was locked for moderation and the link to the existing thread amended. If you tried to post on that thread whilst other action was being taken on it, your attempted post may have not published. I will lock this thread.
