2022 is nearly over (playlist)

Since there is no new Prince SDE or officially new released music in 2022,

(or did i miss out on something?)

Anyways,

I'd like to make a playlist from whatever came to surface in 2022 concerning

unheard (new) music, other versions, live songs, songs written for others... etc.

To fill up the gap of what could've been a great year for another SDE release.

Please, let's not use this thread to complain about what we didn't got.

-

So, feel free to add what you remember that can fill our empty 2022 longing.

-

I start with the small video that appeared of the very young Prince (9yo?) in a school interview.

I sampled the sound of it to start a/my playlist.

Nice little surprise release tbh.

Its a bit goofy, but i always liked the track.

Listened to it again on YT and it sounds fine.

Prince & Andrè's styles are hardly audible though, just towards the end.

(But there's a synth bass part that sounds like Pricne too...)

Yes and no.

It was released last year on October 14th as a download/stream,

then you could order the 7'' vinyl, but that was only shipped half a year later.

I think i received my copy somewhere late May, early June this year.

For the VIP attendees of the 2022 Celebration, there also was this ltd 7'' release with live versions of;

- ''Diamonds & Pearls (Live at Glam Slam)"

- "Nothing Compares 2 U (Live at Glam Slam)''

Both recorded from of a Glam Slam performance of Januari 11, 1992

There also was the Prince live performance of Wombles' Mike Batt's song ''Nine Million Bicycles''

that i discovered this year somewhere in May.

Unimportant, but

there's a very stupid cover snippet on TikTok of ''I Would Die 4 U''

called ''I Don't Give A Fuck''.

Don't know who did it.

anyways, forget it.

-

Look how poor the responses evn are..

Basically nothing new or undiscovered / unreleased shit happened this year.

-

Yes, we had loads of re-releases (with typos) on all kinds of colours on vinyl of

The Hits,

Purple Rain,

1999,

Rainbow Children,

SOTT,

etc.

Such a waste and shame.

But at least we have multitudes of trinkets and clothing, even scarves, to buy...cos, you know, we aren't interested in music or video releases.... we'd all prefer gaudy overpriced tacky crap...if Prince had any sense while he was alive he'd have given up on music and taken up knitting and crafting...he'd have made way more money from us that way
