Prince influenced a ton of dance producers

I get a prince vibe from certain villalobos tracks for example

Amd i actually like a couple of his dance musuc attempts like the human body but it was always just prince tryyyying to do it rather than totally make it his own

So im not saying it has to be 'authentic' or dont do it

I just dont think he was immersed in it enough to really work with it in a truly convincing way

After a certain point prince and technology parted ways and thats what made it harder for him to understand it

Had he got some good dance remixes from legit producers of the songs on emancipation like sleep around he might have still had a club hit in the late 90s
