It's obvious what happened here: when it was first announced, it was an independent issue. Obviously, the Estate noticed, hit them with a copyright/trademark violation that said "Let us sell that for a share of the profits or we'll entertain you with lawsuits forevermore".

.

What utter nonsense. Yeah sure, a company that has been in this business for decades will just randomly spend a fuckton of money on developing such a figurine without first securing the proper rights.

A motorcycle only has one kill switch, you dont just mould duplicate the bar controls left and right and hope nobody notices, otherwise twats like me will come along and say, why does this bike have the same switches on both handlebars and a big ass clutch fluid reservoir on the left bar when its an automtic.

A common mistake in models and video games ( made by people who dont ride motorcycles)

.

.

I realise this may be extreme nit picking biggrin

I think it's beautiful BUT way way way too big. Even half the size would be better (but it would still cost 2/3 as much).

Well, CHOCOLATeBOX3121 can fit in her perfect place!

I've changed my mind! If U read my signature. Prince(r.i.p.) ended up not being very happy with being @ the top with Purple Rain. It wasn't what it was cracked up to be with him. It made him very sad @ the FAKE, get on the bandwagon, fairweather fans, that ended up leaving him in DROVES after the MEGA success of Purple Rain. Only three million bought ATWIAD the same "loyal" ones that bought 1999.

Plus I've ALWAYS felt he would still be here today if he didn't make that whole project.

But it's STILL exquisitely detailed & would make a great Xmas gift for me.

I'm definitely not the target audience anyway at that price, but I never really understand the appeal of these statues over just putting up a poster or something. Lol. Maybe if it was more like $50...

Prince(r.i.p.) purposely cut short the MOST successful tour of his career @ that point after achieving a record Number#1 album, single, movie & tour simultaneously. He could have extended it another year with more singles and videos. It could have become the TOP selling album of ALL TIME.

But he had enough. He was done with it!

funkbabyandthe
babysitters

ofc prince enjoyed beingg on top and successful

its just once youre there, you have to do a lot of work and repetition, which he didnt like, and prob didnt know until he got to that stage

but he obv wanted to keep being popular and getting hits - hence D&B, TMBGITW, etc etc.

he was still trying to score a hit with the rave album.

and then there was his big touring successes in the later decades.

he loved that stuff.

he did not want to go back to only being able to play small venues, though he did do that sometimes ofc.

he loved still being able to attract big crowds.

Purple Rain was in 1984 and the tour into 1985. Prince died 31 years later, so how exactly did Purple Rain lead to his demise?

He was doing the crazy acrobatics and splits long before Purple Rain.

The statue is really nice, and does look like him! But it's just too expensive and honestly it's just too big of a piece.

I will stick with my $10 Funko Pop lol

When you use the term "loyal" to denigrate folks who don't buy a record they don't like, you really expose your insanity.

Nobody here should feel less-than because they didn't like an artist's output. Prince knew he was throwing people a curve ball with ATWIAD. That was part of the fucking point. It did not lead him down some depressive path the rest of his life.
