I think Prince carried a lifelong anger at Susan Rogers for quitting when she did. He practically begged her to come back and she refused. She was tired. I've never heard her say an unkind thing about him; she was always a fan.
But she said one thing in 2014/2015 that torqued him off, something like "It's my life's ambition to save/preserve the music in his vault". He went off on her about that, several times, even accusing her of racism.
Petty Prince. We love him but he was the Prince of Petty.

- One of the things she said there, I dare to say, is the ultimate answer to: why Prince fans love/hate different Prince eras. When we listen to his music, we think of time in our life, moments, memories and oursleves when we heard these.
- Probably, it's even amplified in case of us, Prince fans, because to many of us, his music is a soundtrack of our lives.
- I love the Love Symbol album, I love Diamonds and Pearls, because this was the time when I felt in love with his music. I love the other albums just as much, each of them hold a special place in my heart, but these were my first love.
