Two chords can make a great song. So that is not an argument. Dreams Fleetwood Mac, Use me Bill Withers, Everyday People, Sly and The Family Stone. (I searched for it online )

The song gives me a summer vibe. It's not my favorite song of the album but I enjoy it. Music is subjective. I can see someone not liking it and understand your argements. For me it does have a Prince sound. A bit like whitcaps (3rdeyegirl)

Back in the day, I put "Cause and Effect" at the beginning of 20Ten, and put "Hot Summer" somewhere around "Everybody Loves Me" or just before "Laydown," maybe. It seemed to work great. I've not gotten into W2A that much yet to start playing w/ a playlist, just yet.

Prince made even better one chord tracks with much more excitement tbh.

And his older two chord tracks were rather brilliant, if not stunningly enjoyable and original in their inventiveness. Uncomparable to anything ton this record so far.

I have this on a boot but never really listened to it and I haven't bothered with the dvd but this is brilliant. Even made me a bit emotional, hitting home I'll never get that high again of seeing him live

I just bluetoothed it through a decent stereo system and cranked it. It's so, so great. I ordered the deluxe box set but I don't have a Blu-ray player, I don't even have a tv but I'm going to have figure this one out.

I hear you but I can't bare the thought of having two more electronic devices in my house that won't get used a lot. It'll make it's way online someplace.

This performance of 17 Days is the kind of performance that I missed from Prince. I always thought that his official live releases were a teeny bit polite. ONA Live was real cool but it wasn't the same show I saw at the Hammersmith Odeon. That show was delirious but the live release was a little flat for me. I still love it though.

After reading all of the glowing reviews I really wanted to like this but..... Lotusflower remains the last official Prince album I can listen to. What can I say? The songs are clearly uninspired and Prince himself didn't consider it worthy of release. I understand the estate needs to make money where they can but I'll wait for the next release.

If you trust that the MKV file you created (?) reflects what's on the Blu-ray, then this is good news.

This album is definitely growing on me. It flows really well imo. The song that I am SHOCKED I am really diggin is Stand Up and Be Strong. Can't get enough of it.

Yeah, it fits right in there with all those and ranks depending on ones' taste.

I mean...it's fine but at the end of the day it's just another Prince record in the same vein as the ones you listed. Prince albums have been like this for a good while and I've come to expect it.

It DOES flow well and has a pretty high low end as far as clunkers go but, for me, that's 3121 or Musicology again. I'm glad they put it out but I'm just gonna toss it on the pile pretty much.
