for what it's worth, 11 bucks for a whole album/cd of previously unreleased (yes i know it's not all previously unreleased) is more than fair.

cd edition of 1999 was priced fairly, sott sde was way overpriced, w2a deluxe is way overpriced.

i'll pay more money for more music, when they start making decent sets that actually do justice to the era, but i'm sure as hell not paying for a book of essays by dave chappel and college professors

I'm affraid this album indeed is going to be a flop.

But I hope I'm wrong though with my big mouth.

But they filled that deluxe Vynil box it up with so much unneeded shit.

I mean, that would be interesting for these young Billie EIlish fans with barely any pubic hair.

WHo wants to have all these fake copies of tickets, postcards, poster, backstage pass, VIP pass, and other unimportant stuff ? Most Prince fans already have pubic hair, if not even grey. wink))

Not to mention that on the vinyl release there's going to be an ''etched'' side-D.

I mean what the fuck?!

They even could use that side for a few extra extended mixes or unreleased tracks.

Unannounced even. That even would be in the line of vintage Prince mysteries.

I honestly don't understand this package yet.

It might be the worst unnecessary package ever.

Again, I do hope i'm deadwrong.

Let's first wait for the music (and the preaching).

But right now, i'm looking forward for the Podcast series.

Andrea Swanson is doing them again, and she has a heart for all things Prince.

I love her approach.

I think they start this week, right ?

I also would gladly pay more money for more Vault Music but i don't need all the collectible items either.

.

Getting to hear W2A album is great, a companion cd full of outakes from the same era would have been awesome.

.

Maybe next time.

bob's team takes his legacy as an artist and his place in music history seriously, which is why you have the truly comprehensive and really thorough sets.

and guess what, every dylan set they do, there's always different tiers of options for the consumer, so you can get the 18 cd version or you can get a curated 6 cd version or you can get an even more curated 2 cd version. everybody wins, more money is made. it's not hard.

Agree with you that this would be the best approach for many of the releases. This would bring in a wider array of fans and folks would be more satisfied with what they received.

This is so out there and disconnected from anything in reality that I am imagining that some psychotic person intuded while you were writing this otherwise decent post.

I'm guessing we will get a concert DVD with it.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
