While looking into this I also saw that Prince contributed guitar to Keep It Together and some of the remixes of that. Somehow I missed that when I was making my big database of all released tracks so that's something else I'll be keeping an eye out for. Whether I missed it when I was making the database or it's a recent discovery I'm not sure.

.

This has been known for decades. There have been a ton of interviews about the making of this album.

Perhaps, but only for obsessives or people with too much time on their hands and/or with nothing better to do.

I really liked Like A Prayer, and it contains Madonna's best two songs in my opinion (Like a Prayer and Cherish). Shame she didn't stay on this more mature path. Next we got Hanky Panky and Justify My Love

In all fairness, Hanky Panky was connected to that vampy character in Dick Tracy. It feels like an outlier in her catalogue to me. I normally skip the Dick Tracy album and go to Erotica which was stylistically different than LAP. Maybe Warners saw a chance to repeat the success they had with Prince and Batman.

Always loved Justify My Love which I guess directly leads to Erotica.

There is also alot of "graffiti bridge" synth in the song.
