Parade, but I would not mind D and P in the slightest. I think Parade is a bit too close to Dream Factory/Sign and there could be some crossover.

For instance, Love and Sex along with It ain't over 2 the fat lady sings have a real Parade vibe running through them.

Plus with the tradition of adding shows, wouldn't a Parade era show just be perfect?

I got plenty good loving for ya baby

Even though Parade is superior to Diamonds and Pearls I'd personally rather have the Diamonds SDE. I'm much more curious about the material from that time period.

I'm kinda bored about the "old" stuff although the SOTT deluxe was great!
I prefer new music, so 10s>00s>90s>80s
So of i'd have to chosse between Parade ans D&P, it'd be D&P for sure!

I agree with this. There could be a really great unreleased Gem in the diamonds and Pearl's material. The vault is proof prince didn't always put out his best work

Doubt it, the sound production of that album is so far removed from the Prince sound.

As if Prince wanted to be back at the top and joined the new sound of the time.
To me that album is over-produced and full of a wall of noise.
Gone wass the typical dry recognizable trademark Prince sound that he held for years.
I've said it before, maybe that's why (and it's a personal choice of course) that I've never been able to enjoy this album. And I tried many times.
It just seems like a hopeless cry for the attention he had more or less lost.
D&P's mainstream pop did catch on, of course, but lost me a bit as a Prince fan.
Still, I hope one day I can listen without prejudice.
But I'm afraid i'm already too old for that. lol

I don't care which, I just want them all before I'm dead. The core market isn't getting any younger.

RIP sad

It hasn't even 4 been months, what are you whinging about? Prince releases are never announced in January. There will be an annoucement for a new release around April 21 with a release date of June 7th.

4 months you re right ! Already one third of a year. . The first wave of Sony reissues were announced 10/12/2018 though. The ONA reissues were announced less than 3 months after the 1999 reissue. 4 months of silence is a first since june 2018, when Piano and Mic was first announced.

Major reissue projects and the Sony purple vinyl gimmick reissues are quite different things, i'm surprised you consider them in the same grouping. A lot of people have been questioning what happened to the Sony reissue campaign for sure. I do wonder how many 100 dollar or so emancipation 6LP boxes they sold. I couldn't muster up the cash for that and I post on the org!

I was talking about everything Prince WB/ Sony.
Logically, before any new WB project be announced, there should be a Sony reissue.
I think Sony should focus only on the albums that were never released in stores ( Chocolate Invasion, Slaughterhouse, etc.) And see after for other re releases.
.
Versace Experience sold better than the other reissues because it was never sold in stores.
The 6-discs Emancipation was ludicrous, it could have been contained on 4 vinyls only.
Crystal Ball was supposed to be rereleased, for November or December, just after the SOTT SDE from the same era.
I think Sony gave up completely, until they succeed in getting their hands on Gold Experience, (in 2045?)
Their last wave of reissue was now announced a year ago, in February 2020 ( for a may release).

I disagree on Emancipation.

You have to keep the albums as seperate entities.
