I’d buy the B-Sides on vinyl, especially if they also added the newly-released tracks that were on Hits 1 and 2. Which they won’t because money definitely does matter 2nite. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

I wonder if it's being pressed in the USA, or just the German version for Tchibo. With yesterday's listing of the Rolling Stone Germany Oct. 2020 covermount edition, it makes me think that they are trying 2 sell off extra stock sitting around in Germany. I also wonder if it's remastered versions of the trax, there's no mention of this on the webstore. If they had remastered all the trax, I'd be interested. And more interested if they release THE HITS / THE B-SIDES as a box set, remastered and 180g purple vinyl. "purplelectricity whenever our bodies touch"

I think there will be a The Hits/The B-sides/DVD box set next year and most likely get a worldwide release rather than exclusive to Tchibo. But it's really a shame if it's not remastered. Yeah this set is tempting but if it's not remastered, I'm not willing to get it. A Hits/The B-sides/DVD box set would be far more interesting and only if it's remastered.

I can't imagine it being remastered. This seems like a very last minute attempt by Warners to milk a few tracks whilst they still own them Check out The Collector's Guide to Prince on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/p...4ldzxwlEuy

Bet they’ll announce hits 2 soon and then after people have bought both, announce Hits,B sides. Pointless. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I just heard back from Customer Service at the Prince Store. All versions of songs on this release are the original versions, nothing remastered. They do not know whether the vinyl is pressed in the EU or in the USA. I'll take a pass on this, but would buy it in a potential box set format of THE HITS / THE B-SIDES. On the back of the Cover of the Double LP from Tchibo it is written ,Made in Germany‘.

The back cover is not shown in any of the Prince Store's webpage 4 the item, and this is why I emailed Customer Service, who confirmed that they do not know the country of origin. Here is the product webpage https://store.prince.com/...233_103248 "purplelectricity whenever our bodies touch"

I just recieved my copy and it is a very handsome looking album. I think that when they came up with all the artwork for this, they had an LP sized image in mind. It looks way better than a CD and the record playing experience is definitely worth it. (Made in Germany, btw) [Edited 1/5/21 16:30pm]

- Received it yeswterday as a present. And, damn, it looks good. Nice to have. It's well made, and sounds ok. Love the purple vinyl and the innersleeves. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves.

Finally got round to spinning my copy now. I was never a crazy fan of the digital/CD version (I don’t seem to have a great relationship with non-chronological compilations of almost any artist), but I think the natural punctuation points provided by different vinyl sides allow it to work pretty well on this format. And as others have said, the original inner sleeves/artwork (or what I’m presuming the originals looked like - I don’t have a ‘93 copy) have been reproduced nicely.
