working up a ______ sweat?

As my other post on this got closed down, I am remaking it.

sometimes i wonder if prince was thinking of a literal black sweat, some sort of perspiratory malfunctionining mutation, something that led to actual black beads of sweat, and if so, what would that mean?

or did he just mean dark sweat patches? like, hes working so hard, hes sweating the hell out of his freshly-made-by-his-personal wardrobe team outfit.

or was it just him talking about a kind of perspiration he believes only black people can work up.

id like someone in an advertisiing agency to use black sweat actually for a tv advert. always thought this song was a bit of a novelty single so that would probably be perfect.

lastly, if you dont want to take your clothes off, but you still do, should you remove them? or keep them on?

You'll rarely find me not erect. Although this conversation has put a bit of a damper on it. But the night is young, and so are the guys I'm talking to on Grindr!

From the beginning, I thought this song would've worked better with cycling through different colors. Black, white, red, green, blue -- basiclally, go through the one syllable colors. Or it could've been Hot Sweat, as a play off James Brown's cold sweat.

datdude

if you're examining the lyrics of the song as you ponder the meaning of black sweat (my take is that its HIS sweat as a black man. not unique to black ppl per se, but he was one), consider this.

in the line, "I don't wanna take my clothes off, but i do" did he mean that he DID take his clothes off or that he does WANT to? i always thought the latter. i love his lyrics like this. (un)intentional double entendres.

another one is, speaking of sweat is from Pheremone, "when her body's wet, or when her body sweat" ????

he emited no bodily fluids or secretions.

not even cum.

thats why he had that guitar spurt semen in the 80s.

because his body released nothing.
