Last week SOTT entered the Italian Top 100 Album Chart at n.38, this week evaporated... From the other side, one should consider that this list is full of Italian trash trap phenomena...

And most youngsters in theses countries basically have no idea about Prince.

Once saw a girl (18 yo?) in Lyon (city in east of France) wearing a cool Prince t-shirt, and asked her if she knew who he was. She had no idea, but found the t-shirt cool because it was a 'vintage-thing'.

i think they pressed up a LOT of these.

so i doubt it will go up in price any time soon, for those of you hoping to sell it on.

I thought mistakenly SOTT deluxe was already out of the UK SALES charts (physical + digital) after only two weeks. In fact it is now spending its fourth ( and probably last) week in this chart.

Prince is no Michael Jackson. Its interesting to see why Michael Jackson is known by younger people and Prince is not.

Prince's music challenged the listner more so than MJ's music. Not to mention the Prince "sound" changed from album to album. Inconjuction to Prince music and videos not readily being available on the web for many years. And Prince wasn't a label artist getting the full backing of a label (like in the 80's.)

Actually based off Nielsen Soundscan pure album sales.

This is good news. Let's get it rolling.

Releases revolving around shows/dates would be great ones ie First Avenue 6.7.1984 DVD/rehearsal and CD with photo bookletts

True... Purple Rain outsold all of MJ's abums in the U.S. besides Thriller ofcourse.

What happened in the UK this week?
Was there a documentary on TV about Prince, or the broadcasting of the SOTT movie?
Because in its 5th week of re release, SOTT gained 69 positions in the sales charts! It is now #28, its second best week.

Just Outside the top 200, 1999 sold about 27.000 this year so far.

SOTT now out of all the sales, vinyl and physical UK charts.

That's certainly the first time I've heard the sales of an expensive, boxset of a 30 year old album compared with votes for a sitting President in one of the most consequential elections in one of the most populous countries in the world.

Did you know that more people voted in the 2019 General Election than bought Sgt. Pepper in 1967? What a flop!
