Did I forget to say that WB sent 130.000 copies of album to Biden voters this week for free in Pennsylvania, and they were all SOTT?
In fact every vote by mail were thanked by a SOTT album.
That means next week, SOTT will be automatically certified Diamond, at least.
A dream comes true.

6th week in a row in Belgium for SOTT :
Chartrun : 2-20-21-26-129-150.
.
Don't laugh, they really do have a top 200 albums.
How can they separate #150 from n#149 when the last 100 positions must sold only dozens of copies is a mistery to me

im thiunking of selling my CD version of the SDE.

is it better to wait and see if it increases in price? or just sell now? its quite low on amazon at the moment though, which is driving the price down a bit.

And why would you want to sell it in the first place? Sounds shady

SOTT seems to be definitely out of the Netherlands charts.

It does seem illogical ( as would Mr Spock say) to buy a 150$ boxset to sell it the month after.
Making money on Prince seems disrespectful to him and his legacy, and in all the love and care he put on the Hot Thing remixes.

Disrespectful?

It's called second hand selling.

Prince made enough money in his lifetime.
The estate will make enough too.
I'm hardly making a profit.
Just dont want to make a loss.

I think selling your own personal stuff is fine, no doubt.

I skipped buying SOTT:SDE on CD because it's not in the budget right now, but also because it's fully on Spotify that I can listen to whenever I want.

Your situation is completely different from those who bought multiple copies of the peach-box SOTT singles collection with the intention of reselling at inflated prices!

That still doesn't explain the point in buying a 150/200$ set, to sell it the month after. He didn't need to buy in the first place, IMHO.

Yup, your opinion. Everyone has one. And I say he can do what he wants to do with it

Every format added, SOTT sold this year 41.000 copies in the USA.
From that numbers, I think it sold dabout 12.000 copies of the regular edition of the album (2/3CD ; 2/4LPs).
.
You can easily multiply by 2.25 to have the worlwwide numbers.
.
So it s safe to say worldwide, SOTT sold already this year 92.000 copies.

The first week of release in Japan, SOTT super deluxe was #21 of the Oricon album charts, with 4035 albums sold :
https://www.generasia.com...0_week_40.
.
Knowing how the Japanese chart works, if it is listed as "SOTT deluxe), then the SOTT other configurations charted separately.
.
I only have access to the top 50, if someone has any link to the top 300...
.
It was already out of the top 50 the following week, but it states that it stays on the top 300 for 6 weeks.
.
In only 4 weeks in August, an album called Stray Sheep from Yonezu Kenshi sold 1.343.000 copies!
Insane numbers

SOTT is now out of the Billboard top 100 sales charts, out of the vinyl charts, out of the catalog charts...
Ouch.
Of course, Purple Rain is still on it (#72 in the sales charts), but who cares anyway since it is constantly on it since Prince passing?
