Prince Song Used in Pre-Game to Super Bowl 1993?

Now, maybe my memory is failing me, but I am 99.9% sure that during part of the pre-game couple of hours before the 1993 Super Bowl, there was a Prince song/video about "winning." Very catchy and upbeat tempo. I know I didn't dream seeing it. It was there and I'm sure it was Prince since, well, it's Prince and I am and was very familiar with who he was, what he sounded like, it. Can't seem to find anything anywhere to confirm this.

Am I completely off my rocker? Did anyone else see this? Hear this? Know anything?

I feel like it was some kind of "eccentric" one off he did for the broadcast and then nothing ever again with it. Sadly was working on location and in a hotel, so no VCR running at the time.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Update: I pretty sure that is it. I believe he just didn't a different version for the broadcast. I remember a white background for the "set" and it seemed a little more rockin' and a little less blusey than one of the videos I found on YouTube. But I think you hit the nail on the head. (I think an album version I found on YT is a bit closer to what I remember hearing.)

Thanks so very much! All these years later, great to know I'm not completely insane and delusional. biggrin

Hmmm. Maybe. Let me see if I can find that somewhere to listen too.

In either case, thanks so much for the suggestion.

yeah the studio track always sounded more like that South African pop music Ladysmith Mambazo thing to me. Nice change of pace for Prince at the time. Also I dont mind the Tony M rap in this one.

I've heard "Now" and "Funk N Roll" used for NBA promos

I recall the players lip-synced to Tony's rap

It was Willing and Able. I remember it also featured The Steeles.

I beleive the super bowl that year was in Minneapolis.
