yes ! I like how it segues thematically from Bob George, strange nuts. Ending always got me giggling n speaking in tongues simultaneously lol.

Because it was recorded the same day as Bob George... straight after finishing recording of Bob George actually. See PrinceVault and Per Nilsen's book.

What's the thematic similarity?

Walkin in Glory starts w/ him looking 4 his baby n saying the lord "took her up 2 heaven", ie (perhaps) he killed her in previous song from day (Bob George) smile
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Walking In Glory

Woke up this morning
- all around

Couldn't find my baby

She was no where to be found

Don't say that

I think the Lord had took her

took your baby

In the middle of the night

Took her up to heaven with -

Walking In Glory
Soul is saved

She's walking with the Lord
Whose Son who He gave

-damnation

This world is fading fast

...modern revelation
--

U got to say name yall

...up on the hill

...asking for forgiveness
the Lord surely will
My baby was a sinner
She knew the meaning of love
Now she's walking she's walking
With the man up above

Walking In Glory
Her soul is saved
She's walking with the Lord
Whose Son He gave

-damnation

This world is fading fast

... revelation
--

U got to say name

Jesus
Jesus
Glory
Glory
Woooo Yahhahahh

Walking In Glory
A soul is saved
She's walking with the Lord
Whose Son who He gave

-from damnation
Who gave His only His only

This world is fading fast

... revelation
If U don't know His name
No one can match His glory no one can match His name/fame

Help me Lord

...every day

---

...

I want 2 Walk in Glory
I think I wanna walk
Walk in the Glory
Glory
Don't let me lose my way

...

guitar solo

Look at me

I'm freakin

...

whatcha gonna say
Get get get out of my face

...

...

Glory Glory Glory

...

One day we're gonna Walk In Glory

Glooooory

One day we're gonna Walk in Glory
Glooooory
One day we're gonna Walk in Glory

Heaven be with u if you don't know His name

A true NewBreed, only that mind could come up with that connection and it be ever so twisted and on point

Agree 100% with the OP. This new release has many amazing songs. Walkin' in Glory truly stands out! I can only imagine Prince had a blast recording it. Put a big smile on my face like only Prince's music can. Walkin' in Glory is a great example of Prince being Prince IMO and its perfect.

The future
101 extended
The line
God is alive
Up from below
Cool love
Come electra Tuesday
Vicki waiting
Joy in repetition
The question of u (Copenhagen 2002)
Instrumental I forget the name of
Money don't matter tonight
Heaven
Elephants and flowers
There's riot goin on
Anna stesia (la 2002)

Way worse than I remember it being haha. It was the 9th in a series of mixes I made for a friend about 4 years ago. Tried to make everyone with a theme and as little album cuts as possible. Was difficult but fun. With all the new releases the past 4 years I could make them all amazing, but it would be too easy. Really enjoyed trying to EQ boots to make the shitty quality not stand out too much when they came up in the queue lol.

It would be Fun if a lovesexy type record was recorder over the basic music of TBA .
Or this would be a Nice alternatief to two niks as b side

I found this song and When The Dawn to require more active listening to appreciate since they're both so busy. Kinda like The Line - I reckon for some it is a pretty forgettable track unless you specifically give it extra attention.

Yeah I totally love it now (though it def feels like a 1983 era song to my earholes).

Really? I don't hear 1983 at all, well you know what just the intro, it sounds actually very 1999

INSANE that he just strolled into an LA recording studio in late 1986 and recorded this...

...and never released it????!!!!

But thankfully we got something from it.

2N4WC is such a killer without these lyrics.

He made the right choice imho.

Religous mumbo-jumbo doesn't bother me anymore in Prince's music.

Makes me feel indifferent, thank god! lol wink

Though, painfull lyrics when I come to think of it;

''...help me lord everyday..."

Well, that 'lord' wasn't much of a help.

So far the believer vs death from overdose.

Again, great song though, great pace, funky as hell, train speed pop, Prince on acid!
