3 flaws for which one doesn't need a sound engineering degree:

At the end of All my dreams the sound changes (at around 6:54 ("...are brighter"),in a very bad way)

Love & Sex is definitely the wrong speed, a slower version/ approach is always possible, but this doesn't make sense, I sped it up (with audio software) without pitchshift (which caused losing a lot of quality) and it makes sense, if using 32/33 % then you can match melody parts EXACTLY with Sheila's version...yet I prefer a 23% faster version (also less quality loss), if you paly it with VLC speed it up to 1.20 then back to 1.00, you'll see what I mean.

while this might just be the best possible version, why not communicating this, look here there was damaged tape, we chose this faulty version over not releasing it at all. And all is well...

but if the estate admitted to the unintentional mistakes (like the possibly wrong tempo live audio), they indeed have to fix and replace the discs.

It's not like we got the extended set as bargain...as customer it is not just my right but my duty to point this out...

That said I of course enjoy everything that is on here and is enjoyable, but still one can point out that there are some issues that are not explained.

I will definitely not buy the next set as CD or vinyl version.

Fun Fact: SOTT Super Deluxe was the #7 Best-selling album in US last week (#20 including streaming/single sales) only 1 position less than its debut week in 1987 (#6).

The All My Dreams fuck-up was a collosal disappointment.

One of the best outtakes we've ever heard, treasured by fans for years, finally gets an official release and it turns out the bootleg is better quality.

This is over dramatic by a huge measure. There is no bootleg better than this. Why is it a fuck up? This is probably just a reflection of the quality of the version in the vault.

Visiting Baltimore this weekend. I saw a new SOTT SDE vinyl set at the Sound Garden in Fells Point this afternoon for $249.99. Anyone in the DMV area who needs a copy, check there.

I saw Sign o the Time deluxe 3 CD set at Target a few days ago. I considered buying it, but I'd rather get a physical copy of the full SDE. So far I've been streaming it which is great. I'm torn about what format I should get. The CD set clearly has some deficiencies that the vinyl doesn't. On the other hand, the CDs are much more practical for me because I can throw them in the car or the stereo. I do have a turntable in my stereo set up, but it's prone to skipping if you start dancing around.
