I have compare it and to me the CD version sounds very minimaly better and clearer (obviously no vynil pops etc.) but the vinyl does sound great but isn't a huge step in difference with the original 1987 vinyl that always sounded great.

The album to me sounds great,especially songs like slow love and the cross.The vault stuff..the audio on most is amazing but I don't want to be a Debbie downer but I actually have better quality versions of some of these songs.Take "Rebirth of the flesh" for example,the sound on this set is thin BUT I had no idea there was a longer version so I am grateful for it.
The dvd is amazing to be from a show that is more than 30 years old.It actually looks far better than the 1999 and PR syracuse DVDs in past sets.
I am aware that this concert had been in circulation already but noy the complete show,is that correct? So how much of this show was already out? Luckily for me it's a new one to me.I LOVED the concert and was blown away during some performances but mm that last performance of "it's gonna be beautiful night" went on far too long.I get it,Prince could perform all night if he wanted but personally that show ends with U got the look for me
Also,one of the discs was out of it's pocket when I opened it,but it wasn't scratched.I have already ripped the discs to my computer so the discs will probably never get used again.

Just the contents sticker is in French on mine, everything in the book is in English.

Oddly my brown Sign box had been opened and taped back up, though the shrink wrap on the set was intact. Mysterious!

I posted this on the last page. The whole package is identical to the UK version. It is literally just the lower sticker.

Was going to send mine back then realised it will be rarer than the English version.

Sounds like somebody received it and sent it back when they saw the French sticker. I nearly did the same. I spoke to an Amazon UK rep and they confirmed they are only supplying the French version atm, I guess due to the UK version being sold out. They also said they would amend the description to state it is the French version. Although I'm pretty sure that was bollocks.

edit: Just checked the Amazon UK site and yes, it was bollocks....

So if the units cost what I paid through Amazon ($150 US) then they sold $3,750,000 worth of product so far in the US alone. That's gotta put some money in the bank for the Estate.

let's estimate the cost of the cd box at $25 and the vinyl one at $50. How much would the cost have been to create the book and have Bernie do all the mastering? And then how much for the initial digitizing of the vault tracks and subsequent mixing. I wasn't even thinking about the 'regular' CD sets that the total must include so the actual total must be lower than what I originally posted since the 'regular CD/Vinyl sets are much cheaper than the Deluxe sets. I hope that they truly are making some profit though.

Got my cd deluxe set yesterday. Kept the plastic w/stickers on & painstakingly made a crease to release the sleeve. Still haven't opened it up yet, looking good on the shelf w/ my other collectibles.
